Definition of Gratiude
Gratitude is an expression that we show or say to
express grateful feeling to other people. When speaking English, you say
“thanks” very often. Please say “thank you” when people give you something,
help you do something, wish you something and give you a compliment etc.
Some expression of gratitude:
Thank you very much
Thank you for your help
I’m really very grateful to you
You’re welcome

Definition of Compliment
Compliment is an expression that we show or say to express/give praise.
Some people use compliments to “butter up” somebody or to flatter in order to
increase good will.
Some expressions of compliment:

· You look very nice/beautiful/handsome.

Time to expressing compliment :
o On his/her general appearance.

DIRECT INDERECT

Now I will share about Direct and Inderct Speech.
Ini udah ga asing buat kita
semua,dalam perakapan sehari –hari kita sering menggunakan kalimat langsung
ataupun kalimat tidak langsung.Saat kita berbicara langsung itu merupakan
kalimat langsung,namun jika kita menyampaikan atau mengulang pembicaraan
seseorang itu merupakan kalimat tidak langsung.Dalam Bahasa Inggris ada
beberapa aturan atau tatanan kalimat untuk kalimat langsung dan tidak
langsung.Untuk lebih jelasnya mari simak uraian berikut ini.

Direct and Indirect Speech
Direct speech refers to reproducing
another person’s exact word oe saying exactly what someone has said(sometimes
called quoted speech) here what a peson says appears within quotation
marks(“….”) and should be word for word.
Example of Direct Speech
:
1. Yuni said, “I’m very busy .”
2. They said, “We have bought a picture.”
3. He said, “I am learning my lesson.”
4. Lisa says, “I got the first prize.”
5. You said, “I will come to help him.”
6. Ridha will say, “I will do my best.”
Indirect speech : refers to reproducing the idea of another persons word.
Indirect speech have 3 kinds. you can see it now guys !

Indirect speech refers to reproducing
the idea of another person’s words that doesn’t use quotation marks to enclose
what the person said and it doesn’t have to be word for word.
Indirect speech is sometimes called reported
speech.
The tense usually
changes when reporting speech. This is because we are usually talking about a
time in the past and obviously the person who spoke originally spoke in the
past.
There are 3 kinds of
indirect speech :
1. Imperrative (command/request)
2. interrogative (question)
3. Declarative (statement)
Example :
1. Imperrative (command / request)
Direct : Mrs. Santi said to Dina, "Don't wory about it."
Indirect : Mrs. Santi told Dina not to wory about it.
2. Interrogative (question)
Direct : Risa asked to Nico, "Are you a journalist?"
Indirect : Risa asked if / whether He was journalist.

In comand sentences, direct speech can changed to indirect speech with change "Said" to be "Ordered", "Told", and "Forbade".

SURPRISE AND DISBELIFE
Guys….materi
semester 1 sudah selesai aku posting,now I would start with a new topic in
second semester.Semoga kalian semua tetap mau mampir di blogku ini.
Untuk
meteri semester 2 yang pertama aku posting adalah Surprise
and Disbelife Expression.Readers pasti sering kan merasa terkejut dan tidak
percaya jika mendengar suatu hal ang bagi readers mengejutkan atau something
yang membuat readers tidak percaya,itulah yang akan aku coba share ke
readers.Kebetulan ni materi adalah materi yang aku presentasikan lho..bareng

Surprise and
disbelief is a feeling or an expression of disbelief we feel when we read or
hear the wonderful news is shocking and amazing us.
Kind of Surprises expression are :
v What a surprises?
v That’s very surpising!
v Really?
v Oh, no…………..
v Are you serious?
v What?
v That’s unbelieveble!
v Fancy that!
v You’re kidding!
v I find that hard to believe.
When you got a surprising fact, you can say :
v Do you know what?
v Believe it or not?
v You may not believe it, but …
v Can you believe this?
DISBELIEFE EXPRESSION :
v I don't believe it
v It can't be true
v I can't think of it
v I don't trust you
Example Dialog :
Ross
: You may not believe that the earth is getting warming.
Kiki : Oh..my God,I can’t belive it
Ross : I can’t believe that at first, but several days ago the news said that there was a global warming.
Kiki : Are you serious...?
